Those who have even moved overseas can tell you it is difficult in the best of circumstances even to a highly desirable place like Paris. Finding myself reflecting on this move, with no pre-relo trip, in the midst of a Pandemic, with funding turned on and off several times and finally only having 8 weeks to do everything involved has definitely pushed me to the max. But it happened! We are here.
After initial visa delays which resulted in 2 COVID tests (my aren't they comfortable) we boarded our flight on January 6, 2021. It was a pretty good way to start the new year. The boys commented on how fancy it is to fly Business class. Even with the spaced out seats, reduced services, and having to wear a mask for the entire 11 hour flight, it was still a very nice experience.
We are adapting and finding the limitations of our temporary housing. There are no drawers. 9 closets, but no drawers. It makes it a little difficult to unpack without a place to put socks and underwear.
Wow business class looks amazing. Did they change the interior of planes for Covid or has it always looked like this for international flights?
ReplyDeleteHope the orientation and start of school goes well for the boys! Love the blog and will be checking it regularly. -Grace
DeleteCongratulations! So glad to hear you all made it safe and sound. (So strange that there were no drawers. Lol.) All my best to you as you adapt to your new life there. This blog was a great idea - and I love the name.
